WE GREW UP IN JERSEY CITY and PROUD OF IT!!! ………..and proud of the people that we grew up with.
During the past couple of years that Mr. North has been involved with our virtual Jersey City, I have come to learn many things about Jersey City through Mr. Norths stories and folklore described in his stories. It was a breath of fresh air because his stories were real, based on his experience and humorous. I’ve never met him, but I felt like I knew him. I have severalfavorites, but the one I remember most was a fellow member of WE GREW UP IN JERSEY CITY ( Andres Reyes) who was inspired by Officer DonaldNorth as a kid and he had the chance to say THANK YOU.
May he rest in peace. On behalf of WE GREW UP IN JERSEY CITY and the entire virtual JErsey City stoop, we send our condolences. THANK YOU MR. NORTH for SHARING YOUR MEMORIES.
Below is a collection of photos and snapshots of Donald Norths post since he has joined us and hope you have the chance to revisit your past growing up in Jersey City through his memories.
If you have any stories about Mr. North as a neighbor, a classmate, as a fellow Police Officer, feel free to share with the group so that we will always remember.
